Banding Together

Hello fellow home owners! We have all mumbled about this subject now it is time to take action. I hope we can band together so our voice can be heard in our development. Most of us are the first buyer in the Edgewater on the Tualatin Development. We have hoped Legend Homes would build as they promised so we can take over the HOA. This has not happened. Legend Homes has not lived up to their reputation in our development. I know this sounds harsh, but this is not our problem. We were told we would have a voice within the next year according to their building schedule. This meant to us Legend Homes would have enough homes sold for us to be able to take over the HOA.

The market failing and Legend Homes filing for Bankruptcy is not our problem. We are not interested in waiting 1, 2, 5 or 10 years to assume responsibility for our HOA. The past and present HOA Management team has been less than adequate. We have had trees/plants dead and dying that has taken over 6 months to replaced. Some over a year and some not replaced at all. What are we paying this Management team for if they are going to take the cash and pay for staffing to come up with rules as if they were the Oregon Legislature? Example: The latest parking rules adopted and signed by Jim Chapman. As a community of families with kids growing up how can we really fit 2 or three cars in our garage?

We live on 135th place and are serious about keeping the appearance of this beautiful development without feeling like we are in an apartment with all the rules and no voice.

Please share your thoughts and ideas on how we can take a stand here.
